We know it can be nerve-wracking to go to a new dentist. So in this video, I am going to share with you what to expect at your initial consultation as part of the Carina Gardens Dental family!
Before Your Appointment
From our first phone call, we will aim to get to know you. We know that your dental treatment matters to you, and we take the time to understand what you need.
Before the day of your appointment, you will receive a confirmation call and a text message with the address and onsite parking details of the clinic.
Arriving At The Practice
As you are welcomed to the practice by our front office team, you will be given a new patient form to fill out. This is helpful as it will give us a better understanding of your history and your needs.
After you complete the form, you will then be led to one of our dental rooms, where you will get to know your dentist and nurse. This is a great time to voice any questions you may have. The three of us will chat about what will be done at your appointment and go deeper into your oral health history.
X-Rays And Discussing Your Options
We will then have X-rays taken of your teeth and jaw. This is vital so that our team can see your teeth composition and also identify if there are any finer issues within the teeth and gums that may be hard to see with the naked eye.
Once we have identified the problems, we will give you options on how to treat the problems we’ve discovered, the duration, the cost and what to expect during the course of those treatment options.
We also offer different payment plans for you to go through and choose from.
We will definitely give you the opportunity to think and make a decision, so you won’t be pressured into anything.
Finishing Up And Booking Your Visit
The first appointment is usually around 40 minutes. And once your appointment is complete, you will receive a welcome pack on your way out.
