Crown and Bridge
Crown and Bridge
Crowns are hardwearing caps over the teeth which are used to restore a tooth to the correct shape and completely cover and protect the natural tooth below. This type of treatment is often needed when a tooth is crumbling and breaking down or when there is a lot of missing tooth structure.
We like to crown teeth that have undergone root canal therapy as often after root canal therapy, a tooth becomes very weak and crown provides the tooth with a protective covering to help prevent this weakened tooth structure from breaking down. Crowns can be fabricated from a metal or tooth coloured material.
